Cherry Hill Suite is on the site of The Old Stables, which was once attached to the Clementhorpe Nunnery dating from the mid 12th Century. A very small part from the walls can be seen at the end of Cherry Hill Lane on Clementhorpe Lane marked by a commemorative plaque.
